WEBFeb 21, 2006 · The 5/8" ID spindle size sounds small for a Weldon. I think Weldon spindles are in the 11/2" OD range. They use bushings to accomadate the various size end mill shanks, and will handle up to 1" or larger. As I recall, the spindle has two different bores on either end for large or small bushings. It has been a while since I have had one.
